Jolly ole' Saint Nicholas, lean your ear this way....
Well, if you're like the rest of the world, many people have long forgotten this tradition. for some reason someone tried moving this Saint's day to Christmas Eve! well, not in our home. We celebrate St. Nicholas day on his feast day, December 6th. We do ALL of our gift giving for the season on that day. the stockings are hung, the presents arrive under the tree, baking, cookies, treats, peppermints, the works, it all happens on the eve of the 5th & the day of the 6th of December here.
This post is to help you come up with new ideas on how to celebrate this wonderful feast day & tradition. If you have anything special to share i'd enjoy hearing about it!
we bake cookies & sing advent songs.....
We stuff stockings with saint dolls from shining light dolls (you can also find some really neat handmade ones on etsy from some very talented Catholic artists)
